​The birth of a child is one of the most important stories you and your child will have and carry with you for the rest of your lives. Everyone present at a birth is part of this tender narrative. I knew from the beginning that I wanted a doula to be with me during my birth journey. Silvie was the person I found, she felt familiar to me from the first moment we met. She has an amazing gift to truly listen – this is what I appreciated her for the most.

We met several times over the course of my pregnancy to go over what to expect during birth and breastfeeding. Even though I had read a lot about the birth experience, Silvie was able to inform me about specific practices here in the Czech Republic. 

I had a very long inactive time where labor was on the doorstep but not actively progressing. Silvia’s support during this time was invaluable, and indeed it was through exercises with her that we succeeded in finally starting active labor.
